CVMR®’s Refining Capacity
CVMR® has already completed a 2,000 tpa nickel carbonyl pilot plant at Jilin Jien Nickel Industry Co. Ltd. (“JJNI”) in the province of Jilin, China. This is now being ramped up to full production and will bring the capacity of the refinery to 22,000 tpa. JJNI refines nickel, iron, cobalt and is highly specialized in the production of nickel salts and other high-value refined metal products. JJNI is famed for its nickel salts and sets the benchmark for these products in China. JJNI will expand its nickel production capacity at JJNI to c45,000 tpa, after the completion of the piloting.
In Toronto, Canada, CVMR® has full refining, laboratory and piloting facilities, with an emphasis on Research & Development. There is a range of piloting facilities; the largest has capacity of 500 tpa. These can refine and experiment with a wide variety of feed materials and produce a range of metal products, in the form of powders, foams, net shapes or coatings, using vertical static reactors, or rotary reactors.
In Lahr, Germany, a CVMR® production facility for specific vapour metallurgy processes at Galvanoform Gesellschaft für Galvanoplastik mbH, was completed in 1998 and has since been operating at full capacity.
CVMR® is the majority shareholder in Jilin Jien Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. of Singapore, which acts as a trading house for nickel and cobalt feed materials and products.
